Environmental Policy

Resources Gold Technology shares global concern around environmental degradation and in particular consumption of water and energy resources. Enabling effective production while minimizing degradation of the environment is at the core of the technological development drive for Resources Gold Technology.

By developing new or cleaner technologies, we make production processes more efficient, reduce costs and help prevent environmental degradation. By adopting best international environmental practice and maintaining compliance with legislative and other requirements, Resources Gold Technology works closely with owner / operators to promote clean and sustainable mineral processing.

In general responsible environmental practice for owner / operators includes the following aspects:

  • Obtaining or maintaining ISO 14001 certification.
  • Compliance with legislation, regulations and permits.
  • The security of and improvement of efficiency in the use of energy resources.
  • The security of and improvement of efficiency in the use of water resources.
  • Minimizing the impact of operations on air quality.
  • Understanding the risks and opportunities presented by climate change.
  • Eliminating waste disposal to landfill.
  • Responsible materials stewardship.
  • Supporting biodiversity and minimizing impacts on land resources.

Resources Gold Technology assess the eco-efficiency and health, safety and environmental impacts as well as the effects of incorporating best practice and cleaner more efficient technology in the various stages of our products through impact assessments, internal auditing, and life cycle assessments.

Many different chemicals can be used in the mining and extraction process. The chemicals used can vary greatly in the degree of hazard they pose to the environment. In particular the potential negative impacts of hazardous chemical use must be anticipated and avoided through appropriate controls, or where feasible, substituting them with low hazard chemicals. In cases however, where no economically viable substitutes are available, hazardous chemicals need to be responsibly and carefully managed, whilst deriving maximum efficiency from their use.

Resources Gold Technology ensures that all projects, processes and equipment supplied comply with regulatory and community based requirements including:

  • Noise Emission Control and Minimization
  • Aesthetic and Visual Impact
  • Toxic Chemical Removal / Destruction.
  • Dust Control
  • Project Specific Environmental Requirements.

With environmental responsibility at the core of technological progress Resources Gold Technology takes a responsible and proactive role in all aspects of its gold technologies.
